Due Diligence

We represent and advise lenders, investors and borrowers on a
wide variety of matters.

As part of any loan arrangement, a prudent lender will always
seek to carry out some due diligence, whether in respect of the
borrower, its business or the asset over which security is to be
taken (for example, property). It is therefore important,
whether as a lender or borrower, that the due diligence is
carried out in as much detail as is required to give comfort to
the lender and the relevant enquiries are dealt with
appropriately and expeditiously without delaying the release of
funds.
Due diligence is vital as it may highlight issues that either
need to be dealt with before a loan may be made or perhaps even
make a lender think twice about making the loan.
