Carl Newton
Carl is the firm’s Managing Partner and a Partner in our Corporate Commercial department.
Carl specialises in corporate and commercial work, including advising on mergers, acquisitions, sales, equity investment, business restructuring, placing of shares (whether public or private) and AIM and PLUS flotations. He also has specialist expertise in IT/IP work and acts for numerous technology companies. Carl acts for both public and private companies, partnerships and other unincorporated bodies.
Gaining a first class honours degree from Lancaster University and first class honours on the Law Society Finals course, he trained at Addleshaw Sons & Latham in Manchester, now Addleshaw Goddard, and joined Myerson in 1995.
Carl is also a private pilot in his spare time.
